Chocolate Hotel – Portugal

The urban intervention in a quarter of the historical center of the city was designed around an ancient building which functioned, during the last century as a Factory of chocolate. In the present the building will be completely rebuild keeping only the original exterior walls and a modern hotel and museum is going to born.

The basement, built under the existing walls, will be used as a museum which presents the history of the introduction of the chocolate in Europe, with the help interactive maps and virtual reality devices. The intervention includes the construction of new road and parking spaces.
